1. Avila Beach Golf Resort – 18 holes, par 71, Slope Rating 137, Yardage 6,513 Founded in 1969 , this course is the most difficult of the county courses and is owned by the same owners as Black Lake 6464 Ana Way Drive, Avila Beach 2. Hunter Ranch Golf Course – 18 holes, par 72, slope rating 136, yardage 6,741 Golf Digest gave Hunter Ranch a 4 1/2 star rating, calling it one of "the best places to play". It is home to Caddie's Grill and group barbecue facilities. 4041 Highway 46, Paso Robles 3. Cypress Ridge Golf Course – 18 holes, par 72, slope rating 129, yardage 6,443 Cypress Ridge was designed by peter Jacobsen and was given California’s first “Signature Sanctuary” award by Audubon International. 4. Chalk Mountain Golf Course – 18 holes, par 72, slope rating 126, yardage 6,299 Chalk mountain celebrated it’s 25th anniversary this year. It is considered a difficult and affordable county course. 10,000 El Bordo Road, Atascadero
5. Dairy Creek Golf Course – 18 holes, par 71, slope rating 124, yardage 6,103 The newest of the county courses, Dairy Creek was designed to maintain a natural and historical environment. It’s the home of Fairways Restaurant, snack bar and banquet facility. 2990 Dairy Creek Road, San Luis Obispo
6. Paso Robles Golf Club – 18 holes, par 71, slope rating 122, yardage 6,215 The former Paso Robles Country Club has a restaurant , bar and banquet room with panoramic views of the course. 1600 Country Club Drive, Paso Robles
7. Blacklake Golf Resort – 27 holes, par 72, slope rating 118, yardage 6,056 The only 27-hole course in the county has three nine-hole courses called the Lakes, Canyons and the Oaks. It also has the Blacklake Bar and Grill and a banquet facility. 1490 Golf Course Lane, Nipomo
8. Morro Bay Golf Course – 18 holes, par 71, slope rating 115, yardage 6,056 It’s been called the poor man’s Pebble Beach as many are attracted to this course known for its wildlife and ocean views. The county recently renovated the bar and banquet facility. 201 State Park Road, Morro Bay
9. The Links at Paso Robles –18 holes, par 72, slope rating 113, yardage 6,642 This course was designed after the Scottish ‘links-style’ golf courses. It’s the longest course in the county and attracts all levels of golfers. 5151 Jardine Road, Paso Robles
10. Sea Pines Golf Resort – 9 holes, par 31, slope rating 90, yardage 1,886 The resort offers rooms and suites that overlook the nin-hole course. The Clubhouse Bar & Grill attracts tourists and locals because of its nightly dinner specials. 1945 Solano Avenue, Los Osos
11. Eagle Creek Golf and Learning Center – 9 holes, par 27, slope rating 81, yardage 1,135 The only nine-hole course in the North County attracts beginners and regulars, but also has water on most of its holes to add difficulty. 13000 Atascadero Road, Atascadero
12. Pismo State Beach Golf Course – 9 holes, yardage 1,465 The nine-hole course sits next to the entrance to the Pismo Dunes and has water on seven of the nine holes. LeSage Drive, Grover Beach
